ZIPPY BABY (4) ran below expectations last time at Los Alamitos (Dirt), finishing sixth and beaten 8 lengths starting at 8/1. Will enjoy a drop in class so he is a major player. MARKS HIP (6) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he was always well out of his ground over 5½f at Los Alamitos, beaten 24 lengths into sixth. Likely improver with strong prospects. ROOKIE MISTAKE (1) resumes in a similar race to his last run eight months ago when sixth, beaten 9 lengths. Among the better hopes. PAUL VINCENTS POEM (5) settled well back and never threatened when sixth over 5½f at Los Alamitos (Dirt) last time out. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time.
