Well placed on this occasion and gets his chance to break the ice. NERKY ROSE (8) is a 14-start maiden who looks close to breaking the duck after finishing in the placings at his last couple of runs, most recently when 0.3 lengths away in second over 1m at Sam Houston Park. Should be poised just off the lead. Will be in this for a long way. HOLD MY BEER BRO (5) ran below expectations last start, finishing sixth and beaten 16 lengths at Sam Houston Park (Dirt) over 1m. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time.
