A competitive three-year-old handicap. Narrow preference goes to the John Ryan trained ROMAN EMPEROR (4) who got off the mark at the third attempt of asking over this distance at Southwell recently. Looks feasibly treated from this opening rating. Fellow handicap debutant FIRE DEMON (3) brings some nice juvenile form and must be respected with Ryan Moore booked on the back of his maiden success at Kempton. PHOTOSYNTHESIS (5) ran well after a break when third on stable debut under a penalty at Newcastle (5f). Looks an interesting contender now sent handicapping, BULLDOG DRUMMOND (1) needs to be included.
