CAP DU MATHAN (1) looks the one to beat having produced an excellent fourth attempting a 2m1f premier handicap chase at Ascot three runs back during November. Down in grade making debut in this discipline and is a leading contender representing top yard. THE BIG LENSE (4) was an easy 8L winner two outings ago at Aintree delivering final start of the previous prep. Pulled up at Taunton resuming but may improve delivering second outing of the season. FIRAK (2) did not complete tackling testing ground at Haydock over 2m6f. This race is easier and could show best form. COOLDINE BOG (7) managed third at Fakenham last month. Rates next best.
