APROPOS (13) closed last campaign with three consecutive minor placings and is back. After a break of nine weeks. Expected to go well. MILLIAT (1) resumes from a lay-off of 11 weeks and is having her first outing under new trainer E W Merryman. Finished ninth at Churchill Downs (Turf) over 1m at the opening run last time in work. Definite winning chance this line-up. GIFT OF GAB (10) didn't do a bad job when second last start after being in contention on the turn over 5½f at this track, beaten 0.1 lengths. That followed a win at Penn National the start prior. Has her share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. WISE AND ELEGANT (3) is struggling to break through but hasn't been far away, the latest effort a fourth beaten 2.75 lengths over 5½f at Colonial Downs (Turf). Should enjoy a nice run and deserves respect on best figures.
