BE BETTER (4) came from a long way back on straightening and finished 5 lengths away from the winner in third last start at Listed level at this track (Dirt) over 1m1f Has a strong record at this trip, scoring four times from six starts. Sheldon Russell who has scored on him two times retains the mount. Sure to run well. BOB MARCO (9) showed good early speed and raced on the pace last start before fading to finish fourth, beaten 5.5 lengths, over 1m1f at Listed level at this track (Dirt). Will be handy in the run and should prove hard to run down. VANCE SCHOLARS (6) was safely held when resuming last start over 1m1f in Listed grade at this track (Dirt), finishing sixth and beaten 7 lengths. Has a win and two minor placings at this journey from four starts and is expected to be competitive. MARTINI MARTIN (7) is a talented entire who was well held last time in tougher grade over 1m1f at Listed level at this track (Dirt). Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. One of the better hopes.
