ASCENDANCE (4) finished 5 lengths away in fifth last time out over 6f at this track a week ago. Steps up in journey. Has a decent record at this track with four minor placings from six runs. Will prove tough to beat. SURFBOARD (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he settled well back over 1m1/2f at this track, beaten 23 lengths into sixth. Has the ability to take this out. TUBTIMSIAM (6) scored his maiden win here last time out over this trip, getting the decision by 6 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Shaping up nicely and he is right in the mix again. DASHING D'ARTAGNAN (1) finished fourth last time out over 1m at this track, beaten 11 lengths. Deserves serious consideration.
