SPRING BEAN (4) broke through for his maiden win over 1m1 1/2f at Devonport Synthetic last time, scoring comfortably. Shaping up nicely and he is a solid top-three hope. LINDRUM (2) finished 4.5 lengths away in fourth last time out over 1m1 1/2f at Devonport Synthetic two-and-a-half weeks ago. Steps up in distance. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Capable of testing this field. PUMA (3) finished second at Hobart two runs back but was less effective last time over 1m1 1/2f at Devonport Synthetic, finishing 5 lengths back in sixth. Open to improvement and should be about the mark.
