SOCIAL STAR (4) made a strong late bid only to just miss as favourite last start over 7½f at this track. Yet to miss the frame in two starts over this course and distance. Placed to advantage so expect another big run. OAKFIELD STORM (5) was never in contention when 8 lengths from the winner in ninth over 6f at Ipswich last start, a less impressive effort than his eighth at Scone the run before. Has the talent to figure prominently. MAYBE SMART (11) turned in a decent effort last start to finish third over 7¾f at Murwillumbah. Going up a level this time but she is good enough to play a major role. ELLE MAGIC (10) lines up on the back of a 3.5 lengths fourth over 7f152yards at Gold Coast Poly. Should be involved in the finish.
