ISLAND TIDE (2) improved sharply on her sixth two starts back at Toowoomba with a win as favourite over 4f65yards at Gatton a week-and-a-half ago, getting home by 3.5 lengths after being prominent at the corner. Looks well placed so expect another big run. COSMIC SERENADE (1) showed good early speed and raced on the pace last start before fading to finish fourth, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 6f at Gold Coast Poly. Will be handy in the run and should prove hard to run down. BAD FOREST (4) recorded his first win when resuming last start over 4f at Ipswich, getting home by 0.6 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Georgina Cartwright was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. Harder task ahead this time but can measure up. SONGZILLA (3) turned things around last start and scored by 0.8 lengths over 4f65yards at Gatton. Likely to be there at the finish again.
