SPEED RACER (9) is putting together some solid results. Finished second at this track two starts back then got the job done by 2 lengths as favourite last time out over 5½f at this track. Likely to be in the finish again. PORQUE TE VAS (3) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 2.25 lengths when fourth in a 5½f contest at this track four weeks ago. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. KYALAMI GIRL (6) ran below expectations last time at this track over 7f, finishing fourth and beaten 3.5 lengths. Has the pace to settle in the leading division. Sure to be competitive. THE CHARLESTON (8) was last at the races when she finished eighth over 5½f at this track on December 23. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
