GIVE IT A NUDGE (6) turned in a strong run two starts ago at Wauchope then failed to back it up over 7½f at Port Macquarie last time, beaten 3.5 lengths into eighth. Looks better placed over this shorter trip so is expected to be in the finish. CASINO BEAR (4) doesn't win out of turn but ran a strong race last time out over 5f at this track, finishing fourth and beaten 0.8 lengths. Meets some better types this time but a big run is on the cards. CANTOLAGO (5) did little and finished 8 lengths from the winner in eighth over 7¼f at Muswellbrook last start after being in contention on the turn, a less impressive effort than her sixth at this track the run before. Tackling a deeper field this time but she is capable of running a bold race. THE COAT HANGER (9) was out of the money two runs back when fresh from a lay-off then again missed the frame last start over 1m at Coffs Harbour, beaten 10 lengths into tenth. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
