THE CANDY KID (11) is a talented gelding who was well held last time out in the tougher Belmont Classic won by Weeraechoux over 1m3f at Belmont Park, beaten 8 lengths into seventh. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Will prove tough to beat. DANCING JACK (8) travelled in a rearwards position then picked up fairly well in the straight and finished 5.5 lengths away in eighth last time out over 1m3/4f at this track two weeks ago. Tackles a longer journey this time. Has a decent record at this trip with four minor placings from six tries and is right in this. BRAZEN EMPRESS (7) wound up strongly last time out to finish a head adrift in third over 1m3/4f at this track. Likely to push forward and race on the pace. Should be involved in the finish. RYEWOOD (2) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m3/4f at this track, beaten 0.7 lengths into fourth. Well placed and can figure in the finish this time.
