RUSSIAN PINS (11) has progressed nicely in her last couple of runs. Finished second at Gold Coast two starts back then got the job done by a long neck as public elect last time out over 4f at this track. Finds a suitable race and can figure in the finish. DIAMOND LASS (7) turned in a solid run when resuming last start over this course and distance, finishing second and beaten only 1.1 lengths. Commendable record at this trip with a win and two minor placings and will play a prominent role. KENTUCKY ROSE (12) bounced back last start and landed the prize by 0.8 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner over 4f76yards at Toowoomba. Tackling a deeper field this time but she is good enough to figure in the finish. ASTIN LANE (14) is back from a lay-off of four months. Closed last prep with a 13th, beaten 8 lengths, over 5f at Sunshine Coast. Is lightly raced and looks forward enough after a solid recent trial. Capable of playing a big role.
