CASPERNOVA (1) found the line nicely to grab second last time out over 6f at Doomben. Will be hard to hold out again. MYSTIC MAC (6) has put together back-to-back placings, the latest when 0.7 lengths away in second over 6¾f at Doomben when he was in the firing line all the way. Finds a perfect assignment and can take the next step and salute. DEEP DAWN (8) resumes from a lay-off of five-and-a-half months. Looked close to a win before that break, finishing off with a minor placing over 6¾f at Doomben. Ran fourth in a recent trial at Doomben. Rates highly on best figures and should be right in this. WINNING EDITION (11) has filled a minor placing on two occasions in four starts. Failed to add to the tally last time out when fifth over 6f at Eagle Farm. Has a good record at this distance with two top-three results from three starts. Meets easier opposition this time. Has to be respected in this company.
