Multiple Group 3 placegetter CAROTARI (1) is back after a break of four months. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 5f at Gulfstream Park. Has a solid when resuming record of three wins and five placings from 10 starts. Looks a winning chance. COUNTERSTRIKE (4) made a strong late bid but just failed to pick up the winner last start over 5½f at Ellis Park (Turf). This doesn't look as hard so he is a major player. B D VALESKI (7) drifted well back and failed to finish it off last start when eighth, beaten 4.5 lengths, over 5½f at Ellis Park (Turf). Finds a suitable assignment and can find winning form. DERBY DATE (8) was in contention on the turn and finished second last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 6f at this track (Dirt), beaten 0.8 lengths. Fitter for that run. Placed to advantage so expect another forward showing.
