MINING CAMP (7) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1m1/4f at this track, beaten 3.5 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner. Finds the right race this time and can take the next step and salute. GRAY MIKE (3) again failed to feature last start, finishing sixth and beaten 5.5 lengths over 6f at this track (Dirt). Strong chance to open his account. KEYSER (8) is a 13-start maiden who could only manage to finish fifth at his latest appearance over 6½f at this track (Dirt). Expected to feature in the finish this time. PIRATE MARMALADE (1) stuck on well last start to finish second over 6½f at this track (Dirt) after showing good early speed. Nicely placed to go one better.
