NYALI SANDS (17) ran on strongly but just failed to pick up the winner when when resuming as favourite last start over 6f at Tamworth. Sure to derive great benefit from that run. Nicely placed to go one better. MAJOR MAKEOVER (2) met with solid support last time out but could only manage to finish fifth over 7¼f at Muswellbrook in a disappointing performance. Finds a nice race and can make amends. REACQUAINT (7) recorded his first win last start over 6¼f at this track, getting home by 1.1 lengths. Jack Baker was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. Harder task ahead this time but can measure up. ST ROY (13) was in the money two starts back at Armidale but was unable to repeat the effort last time when 12th, beaten 10 lengths, at Muswellbrook over 7¼f. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time.
