REMERTON (8) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at this track (Synthetic), finishing second and only 2 lengths from the winner at the end of 1m1/4f after being in contention on the bend. Has a good record at this course and distance, including a win and five minor placings. Perfectly placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. IRON MAN JIMMY (4) finished last campaign with a couple of minor placings, the latest over 1m1/2f at this track ten weeks ago. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. Sure to be in the finish. WINE EMPIRE (6) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 2 lengths away in fourth last time out over 1m1/2f at this track after being in contention on the corner. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
