MAMBA ON THREE (7) is a six-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Jose Francisco D'angelo stable. Hasn't raced since finishing seventh at Del Mar (Turf) three-and-a-half months ago. Hasn't trialled publicly but goes well fresh from a lay-off, filling a placing two times from three runs. Expected to go close. NICHIREN (1) is back after a break of nine weeks. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 4½f at Charles Town. One of the genuine hopes in the race. COMPETITIVE SAINT (3) did very well to fill a minor placing when resuming at this track but raced below expectations last time over 5f at this track (Synthetic), finishing seventh and beaten 6 lengths. Has started four times at this course and distance and is yet to miss the placings. Has the talent to return to form. RICHY (5) is experiencing a long win drought, extended last start when sixth over 5f at this track (Synthetic) after he was well back on straightening. Placed to advantage so expect a bold run.
