SPECIAL AFFAIR (6) has been thereabouts lately without being able to break through, the latest effort a third at this track (Synthetic) over 5½f. Commendable record at this trip with a win and three minor placings and shapes as a key contender. ON THE DOT (5) was quickly into stride over 5½f at this track (Synthetic) last time and defied all challengers to score by 1.75 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. DEVIL AT MIDNIGHT (4) progressed nicely last time out at the second run of the campaign and finished 4 lengths from the winner in third over 6f at this track after being in the firing line on the turn. Nicely placed to find winning ways. PARDY PLEASER (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 5½f at this track, beaten 3 lengths into fifth. Finds a nice race and can bounce back.
