LIGHT THE FIRE (7) wasn't far off maiden success before a break of 11 weeks, finishing the campaign with a minor placing over 6f at Scottsville. Has ability and is a solid chance. MAGIC SURPRISE (1) progressed nicely last start to finish a close third over 6f at Greyville All Weather after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is capable of testing his rivals. DEVOTED (3) didn't do a lot on debut three-and-a-half weeks ago, finishing 1.2 lengths from the winner in ninth over 6f at this track. Open to plenty of improvement. Expected to do more.
