COMMAND PILOT (5) finished ninth two runs back at Turffontein Standside then improved last time out to score by 1.3 lengths as public elect over 1m at Turffontein Inside. Looks well placed so expect another big run. SPELLING BEE (8) went to the paddock after scoring at his last appearance 11 weeks ago over 1m at this track. Comes here with definite claims. THE SHEPHERD (11) could only manage 12th last start over 1m at this track, beaten 7 lengths. Has a very good record here including two wins from four starts. Should be involved in the finish. PLAZA ACCORD (10) was beaten 6 lengths into fifth in a 6f contest at Scottsville last time out. No surprise to see him in the frame.
