Group 2 placegetter PISTOL PETE (5) scored a narrow win last time over 5¾f at Turffontein Standside on June 30. Down in the weights this time so he is a leading contender again. DREAMLAND (1) has scored at his last four starts, most recently by 1.3 lengths over 5f at Turffontein Standside as favourite. That continued the good form this campaign, with four wins and three minor placings from 11 outings. Big chance once again. UNDERWORLD (8) tackled stakes class last time out on March 31 and was well fancied but could only manage fifth over 7f in the G3 The Byerley Turk at this track. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. Will give backers a great sight. BLACK EGRET (10) is close to a win after a string of minor placings, the latest when second over 5f at Greyville All Weather. Well placed and will be thereabouts again.
