SIMPLY MAGIC (9) was comfortably accounted for when third last time out over 5¾f at Turffontein Standside, beaten 3 lengths. That followed a win at Vaal at the previous outing. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she has the ability to bounce back. EMERALD GREEN (4) started at 7/1 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 3.5 lengths at Greyville All Weather over 6f. Finds a nice race and can make amends. WESTERN WISHES (12) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a fourth over 6f at Scottsville. Likely improver with strong prospects. Nicely placed to find some form.
