THE IRISH (2) has been thereabouts, finishing fourth at Eagle Farm last time and 3 lengths from the winner. This is far easier. Better placed this time and is a genuine threat. GIDDY GAN'S JOY (4) was in the money two starts back at this track but was unable to repeat the effort last time when 11th, beaten 8 lengths, at Doomben over 1m2 1/4f. Perfectly placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. WAITAPU (3) bounced back last start and scored by 1.5 lengths as favourite over 1m2 1/2f at Tamworth. Meeting a deeper field this time but he is good enough to play a major role. MORE SAINTLY (5) has not won for a long while. Last raced on November 4 when beaten 1.75 lengths into fourth at Ballina over 1m5 1/4f after being in contention on the bend. Nicely placed to break the run of outs.
