BLEND OF THREE (1) was beaten for early speed and didn't come into contention when a disappointing ninth over 7½f at Newcastle most recently. Finds a suitable assignment and can turn things around. BEARINGS (8) has not raced since her debut back on April 1 when she finished 12th over 6½f at Warwick Farm. Has blinkers added so she should be very sharp. VADISIMO (15) is a five-start maiden who resumed from a lay-off last start and was beaten 6 lengths when seventh over 6½f at Newcastle. Should progress from that last outing and poses a genuine threat. FIRE ISLAND (7) is a four-start maiden who resumed from a lay-off last start and was beaten 4.5 lengths when sixth over 6½f at Hawkesbury.
