HOT TODDY (1) went back early from his wide draw over 5f at Wagga last time but hit the line strongly to finish sixth. Outsprinted in the run home but kept coming and appears suited by the longer journey. Will prove hard to hold out. TEXAS OPEN (11) showed good early muster and fought on to finish second last start over 6f at Wagga. Tricky draw to overcome but does have good gate speed. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. STROMNESS (5) produced a nice effort on debut in better company last start over 6f at Wagga when third, beaten 1.1 lengths. Handy draw will assist so another bold showing is expected. FLYING NED (10) hit the frame two starts ago at Canberra but ran below par last time when tenth and beaten 12 lengths over 5f at Moruya. Well placed and should be about the mark.
