CLOVISCONNECTION (6) ran a strong third over 6½f in Listed grade at Santa Anita (Turf) two runs back then was below his best last time over 1m when 11th, beaten 10 lengths. Goes very well at this shorter distance so rates among the leading chances. STAR RACER (3) ran below expectations last time at this track (Synthetic) over 1m, finishing fourth and beaten 2 lengths. Reunites with F Alvarado who has a win when partnering. Sure to play a big role. LOVE CANDY (1) ran a better race last start when he did his best work late to finish a close third over 1m at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. SIR GREYSON (2) comes here off a break of nine weeks. Scored over 6f at this track at the start of last prep. Makes plenty of appeal.
