NORTH COUNTRY (7) finished third two runs back at this track (Synthetic) then improved last time out to score by 0.1 lengths over 6f at this track (Synthetic). Anne Sanguinetti scored on him last time and retains the mount. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot score again. CUT ACROSS SHORTY (4) is yet to fill a placing in two runs since resuming from a lay-off, the latest when fifth over 1m at this track (Synthetic) after he got a long way back. Will strip fitter and is among the leading chances. GOLDENSUNRISE (2) was well fancied but below his best at the last run before a break on February 23 finishing fifth over 5½f at this track (Synthetic). Starts this prep with Adrian Castellanos taking charge. Has the pace to settle in the leading division. One of the main contenders. ADIOS NICANOR (6) was too good for a maiden field last start over 6f at this track (Synthetic), scoring by 0.3 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. C Martinez was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. Harder here but should be involved in the finish.
