CHARLIE JANE (5) showed good early dash last start and held on well to finish 1.5 lengths back in third over 6f at Pinjarra Scarpside. Has the talent to figure prominently. THE SLAP (1) was ridden quietly then made a little ground and finished 2.25 lengths away in sixth last time out over 6f at this track two-and-a-half weeks ago. Tackles a longer journey this time. Form at this track is solid. Strong claims on his best form. VANMAN (4) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 1.5 lengths away in 11th over 1m at this track. No surprise to see him in contention.
