CELTIC VIVA (13) ran in a small field on debut missing the frame, beaten 2 lengths when fifth at Sandown-Lakeside over 6f. Rates as a strong chance. MENSHEVIK (11) finished sixth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 6½f at Kembla Grange, beaten 11 lengths after being in contention on the bend. Has the class to take this out. VADAR (6) missed the placings on debut two runs back then was always well out of his ground last start when 9 lengths away in ninth over 6f at Echuca. Won't find this as tough so he is a major player. ISALOT (3) finished second last time over 7½f at this track when resuming from a lay-off, beaten 3.5 lengths. Placed to advantage and can run a bold race.
