FIGO THE GREAT (5) is struggling to break through but has been around the mark lately, last start finishing fourth over 1m1 3/4f at Yarra Valley. Top contender. PIREONTI (13) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 7f at Sale, beaten 4.5 lengths. Beautifully placed and is sure to play a pivotal role. ALPINE ROCKET (4) was too good for a maiden field when resuming last start over 1m at Ararat, scoring by half a length. This is tougher but he cannot be underestimated. MIGHT JUST HAPPEN (11) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing second and beaten only a head over 1m at Colac. Best figures measure up. Set to run well again.
