STECARA (11) was in the firing line on the bend and ran a better race last start to finish a close third over 1m at Strathalbyn after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. PAINTED PONY (5) looks close to a win after four minor placings in a row, most recently finishing a very close second over 7f at Balaklava after being prominent from the outset. Finds a suitable race and can play a major role. LADY SKYLLA (2) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6f at Morphettville, beaten 6 lengths into fourth. Ideally placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. PERILOUS LASS (6) is a four-start maiden who finished sixth, beaten 3.5 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f76yards at Penola. Should progress from that last outing and poses a genuine threat.
