CUBAN LORD (8) has recently been thereabouts without winning, the latest effort a fourth over 6¾f at Port Lincoln. Will find this assignment a little tougher but he is a leading contender. RED SEQUOIA (5) finished out of the money two starts back then he was never in contention and was beaten 8 lengths when 11th in a 1m2 1/4f contest at Strathalbyn a week-and-a-half ago. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. BYWATERS ROAD (3) raced in town last time and missed the frame, finishing sixth over 7¾f at Morphettville Parks. Should settle just off the speed despite the draw. Winning claims on best figures. GOGOLF GURU (4) was allowed to drift back from an outside draw last time but found the line strongly to finish fifth, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 1m at Strathalbyn. Should prove tough to hold out.
