HAYAKU (2) improved sharply on his seventh two starts back at Gold Coast Poly with success over 7f at Gold Coast two weeks ago, getting home by 1.75 lengths. Finds a suitable assignment and can make it back-to-back wins. TYPHOON TIP (9) well in the market lately and has gone close without breaking through, including a last start fifth at Ballina. Backmarker who keeps coming. Will be tough to hold out. MIKKI EIGHT (4) has been in the money at his last couple of runs, the latest when third over 7f at Dalby. Don't underestimate. JEDIAH (7) produced another moderate effort last start when 11 lengths from the winner in ninth over 6f at Doomben. Worth noting Darren Evans goes aboard. Finds a nice race and can make amends.
