SHIPS LOG (6) recorded another minor placing last time out, finishing third over 6f at this track (Dirt). Great chance to take this out. MY BUDDY MEL (2) started at 5/2 last time but could only manage fourth, beaten 5 lengths, at Sam Houston Park over 6f. Can atone for that last run. COPANELLO BAY (5) was in contention on the corner and finished second last start over 6f at this track (Dirt), beaten half a length. Likely improver with bright prospects. MINISTER MAZ (4) was beaten for early speed and didn't come into contention when a disappointing eighth over 6½f at this track (Dirt) most recently. Nicely placed to turn things around.
