JEWEL BAY (17) was responsible for a solid effort last time out when third at Bendigo over 5½f, beaten 0.9 lengths. Should be at his peak now. Facing a tougher assignment but he is right in this. DUAL PRESSURE (11) turned in a nice run when resuming at this track then wasn't too far away last time over 6½f at Geelong, finishing eighth and beaten 2.25 lengths after being prominent at the corner. Meets some better types this time but a big run will not surprise. MANTUA (14) really dug deep to salute by 0.8 lengths three runs back at Sandown-Hillside before filling a minor placing at his last two starts. Should be poised just off the lead. Will give backers a great sight. PISANELLO (10) was an impressive winner last time over 5f at Warwick Farm. Drifted back on that occasion then stoked up impressively to score by 2.25 lengths. Record at this journey is strong with two wins from six runs and cannot be underestimated.
