ANOINTED SPIRIT (2) is close to a win after a string of minor placings, the latest when second over 1m1/4f at this track (Dirt) when he was prominent throughout. Finds a suitable race and can go on to take this out. UNCLE MARTY (1) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 7f at Saratoga, beaten 26 lengths. Has a fair record when second up, including two top-three finishes. This doesn't look as hard so it can play a big role. PAPI ON ICE (7) improved sharply on his ninth two starts back at Saratoga (Dirt) with a win over 1m1/2f at this track (Dirt) two weeks ago, getting home by 0.8 lengths after being prominent at the bend. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot repeat the dose. OVER THE CAP (3) returns from a lay-off of 12 weeks. Was safely held at the only appearance last prep when sixth over 1m1/4f at this track (Dirt). Commendable record at this trip with a win and three minor placings and is one of the better hopes.
