MY BEST SHOT (1) built on a nice third two starts back at Fairview All Weather with a win as public elect over 1m at Fairview All Weather seven weeks ago, getting home by 3.5 lengths. Richard Fourie scored on him last time and retains the ride. Faces an easier assignment so he is likely to play a big role. GOLDEN LINK (2) was on a winning run of two races but last time out missed the frame when seventh over 6f at Fairview All Weather. Has a high cruising speed. Sure to be in the finish. GOLDEN RULE (4) is a talented colt who tackled a tougher race at his last run on July 6 and finished 13th behind Cosmic Speed over 7f in the G2 Golden Horseshoe at Greyville. Has the pace to settle in the leading division. One to consider. GLOBAL STATE (5) finished second last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 7f at Fairview All Weather, beaten 1.75 lengths. Should take a lot from that hit-out. Worth plenty of thought.
