TORIX NIGHT (1) was in the money two starts back at Greyville All Weather then missed the frame but was not too far away last time over 1m2f at Fairview. Has a high cruising speed. Looks a great chance to break through. MAYOR OF MERRIVALE (4) has recorded two minor placings from three runs this campaign. Turned in another good effort at his most recent run when third over 1m at this track. In a suitable race and can figure in the finish. TAKE A MULLIGAN (2) finished 6 lengths away in fifth last time out over 1m at this track three weeks ago. Tackles a longer journey this time. Likely to push forward and race on the pace. Will be in this for a long way. AGAMEMNON (3) is back after a break of four months. At the last run before the layoff he finished sixth over 1m1f at Vaal. Commenced last prep with a minor placing at Turffontein Inside over 1m5f. Rates highly on best form and should be in the mix.
