MAYOR OF MERRIVALE (6) was close to a maiden win before a three months break, finishing off with a placing over 1m at Greyville. Drawn out which makes the job a little harder. Has ability and sure to prove tough to beat. SPECMAGIC (3) is still a maiden after 11 starts. Could only manage to finish fourth last time out over 1m at Fairview All Weather following a minor placing at this track over 7f the run prior. Cannot be left out of calculations. PETTEIA (2) is a seven-start maiden who is well and truly overdue, finishing fourth at Fairview All Weather over 1m last time out. Will enjoy a drop in class so he is a major player. DAWN CLOUD (8) resumes from a lay-off of ten weeks and is having his first outing under new trainer D A Mckenzie. Finished tenth at Durbanville over 6¼f at the opening run last time in work.
