Tricky draw to overcome but he should be in the finish again. MARDI GRAS EMPIRE (4) was safely held last start on debut over 6f at this track (Dirt). Should appreciate the longer journey now. Better for the experience and can turn things around. GOLD THIEF (5) has his first look at a turf track. Resumed last start with a moderate fourth over 1m at this track, beaten 13 lengths. Will drift back but wind up late. Can run on into the finish.
