CONTRARY EAGLE (4) was beaten just 0.3 lengths last start when fresh from a lay-off and landed his first top-three finish in the process over this course and distance. Has taken a while to hit form but can open his account this time. OH HEZ GOLD (8) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1½f at this track, beaten 0.7 lengths into fourth. Steps up a level but he is good enough to take this out. SASSIE STREAKIN (7) wasn't far off maiden success before a break of four months, finishing the campaign with a minor placing over 1f at Delta Downs (Dirt). Has ability and is a leading player. NARCISSIST (2) is a four-start maiden who returned last time and finished fifth at this track (Dirt) over 1½f, beaten 1 lengthgths. Should progress from that last outing and poses a genuine threat.
