DR SPECK (6) started at 3/1 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 11 lengths at Delta Downs (Dirt) over 5f. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is capable of a big performance. BATTALION STRIKE (11) is a two-start maiden who placed on debut then could only manage fourth last start, beaten 6 lengths over 1m1/4f at this track (Dirt). Well placed and worth another chance. CAPTIVATING STAR (1) finished out of the money on debut two starts back then was beaten 22 lengths when fifth over 1m at this track a month ago. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. SUNNY SASSICAIA (10) resumes from a lay-off of six-and-a-half months. Looked close to a win before that break, finishing off with a minor placing over 5f at Evangeline Downs (Turf). Rates highly on best form and a bright return wouldn't surprise.
