OLDEN (5) was well beaten in a then enjoyed the easier grade last time when finding the frame over 1m2f at this track and gets some weight relief for this. Looks suited and expected to go close on best form. GAMBLER'S GOLD (2) has put together a couple of wins at this course, the latest on February 3 over 1m when he got home by 2 lengths. Winning rider Ms Kyra Yuill retains the mount. Taking on a better field but he is good enough to figure in the finish. COUNT GRUNDY (9) finished out of the money two starts back then he was always well out of his ground and was beaten 4 lengths when seventh over 1m2f at this track three-and-a-half weeks ago. Meets some better types this time but a big run is on the cards. ACERMETRIC (4) finished just under two lengths back from the winner last start at this track and is down in weight this time. Merits respect on best figures.
