Group 2 winner RHYME SCHEMES (8) is back from a lay-off of a year. Closed last prep as a winner, taking out a 6½f contest at Saratoga by 9 lengths. Best figures read very well. Group 1 placegetter CYCLONE MISCHIEF (7) worked home well and finished 2 lengths from the winner in fourth last start over 6½f at Churchill Downs, an improvement on his fifth at Churchill Downs the run before. Tackling a more suitable race this time so he is one of the main contenders. PAYNE (4) finished 8 lengths adrift in seventh last time at Churchill Downs (Dirt) in a disappointing performance. Finds a suitable assignment and can get the job done. LUDWIG (6) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6½f at Churchill Downs, beaten 5.5 lengths into tenth. No surprise to see him in contention.
