LEICA TROOPER (6) ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 7¼f at Tatura. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. NOTLEANORMEAN (12) showed good early speed and raced on the pace last start before fading to finish sixth, beaten 5 lengths, over 7f at Albury. Expected to be in this for a long way. SLATE RIPPER (3) turned in a modest performance when fifth last time out over 7f at Wangaratta, beaten 5 lengths. That followed a win at this track at the previous outing. Likely improver with strong prospects. MOTHEREENS (11) did her best work late and got up for second over this trip at this track last start. Generally performs well here and has registered four minor placings. Too good to ignore.
