HYPE (1) improved sharply on his fifth two starts back at Rockhampton with a win over 1m2f at Mackay five weeks ago, getting home by 1.1 lengths. Enjoys a drop in grade so he is one of the main contenders. BARAZIN (4) finished 3 lengths back in fourth over 1m1 1/4f at this track last time out after a gutsy win the start prior. Change of jockey to Andrew Mallyon who has a strong record when aboard, including two wins. Sure to be competitive. Suitably placed so can turn things around.
