BOOM SHOT (9) has been thereabouts lately without being able to break through, the latest effort a third at this track over 6½f. Change of rider to James Orman who has two wins when aboard. Sure to play a big role. LIBERTY STEPS (10) finished sixth two runs back at Doomben then improved last time out to score by a head after being in the firing line on the turn over 7f at Sunshine Coast. Meets some better types this time but another big run will not surprise. OUR MAGNUS (2) has recorded five minor placings from six starts this campaign, the latest when second as a well-fancied conveyance over 6¾f at Ipswich. He is a leading hope. JUST FLYING (21) showed good early speed from the inside draw last time and stalked the lead before going on to record a nose win over 6¾f at Ipswich. Solid top-three chance.
